DIGITAL Picture Frames for
Fine Art Applications
Dear Colleagues
and Fellow Artists:
We would like to get your cooperation in the development of a
new medium for Fine Art. Digital Picture Frames (DPFs) offer a whole new genesis to the display and publishing of Artwork.
By working "hand in hand" with Artists, their Galleries and Dealers we
give them a dynamic way to reach their audience in an unprecedented and
highly effective manner. In a historical perspective, the advent of this affordable way to
show visual art, is similar to the effect that the invention of
radio had on music and the performing arts over a century ago! Art is by nature fundamentally a form of non-linear communication. It is now apparent that DPFs can facilitate
the synergistic relationship between Artists, Gallery Owners, Art
Dealers and the buying public more efficiently and effectively.

There are many possibilities
for the practical implementation of this new technology. For
example, a large portfolio of Works by an Artist could be
continually displayed on a DPF anywhere, be it in a gallery, a business, or a home. Artists could have a show at a Fine Art Gallery, and
during the show, beside their pieces hung in the Gallery, there could be other works of their's appearing on DPFs. A DPF could be purchased already loaded with
images so that the patron could simply "plug-n-play" to enjoy them at home and see other work by the Artist.
Another potential use is that Patrons, Galleries and Art Dealers could
subscribe to a publication of an Artist's work via the Internet, to receive it customers would simply plug their DPF into the Internet.
The bezels (borders) of DPFs
could be customized cost effectively to meet the needs and desires of
any Artist, Gallery or Patron by using "state of the art" Rapid
Manufacturing Systems and techniques. Most
manufactures of DPFs
produce them in a small verity of styles. While this
is acceptable in the common price driven market, it is not so in the
quality driven market of Fine Art, where Artists and Galleries need to
differentiate themselves. Generally speaking, any
item produced in a limited edition of 10 or less, is considered to be
"Fine Art". An easy to use service that produces custom
made or modified DPFs will probably quickly become very popular.
If you you think this is a great idea, too, and would like to work with us or
invest in this project some way, please see our Business Plan for further
